Design holistically,  is about getting your customers interest, and holding them on your store longer in the end result being that your content encourages them to make a purchase.
It’s a really simple equation …
Superior Design + Great functionality + Interesting content = Customers

I can give you the Superior design and great functionality, what you add as content will complete the equation.

Buying is an emotional activity, people are driven by beautiful things, how often you hear, that sites fab- it has a great wish list! You are more likely to hear people telling you that that site LOOKS great!.

If your store looks great it will entice your customers, it will also give them the confidence of knowing you care about the look of your site, so you will probably care about your customer’s online security as they visit you. Great functionality work with the style and content,  if you have cool features and interesting content  then you will get more sales, no body has to visit you and you only have a few seconds to get their attention before they bounce.
The whole point of an index page apart from welcoming your guests is to entice them to your products pages where they are able to click the all important “Buy Now” button. You also need to have interesting informed content along the way, in a good store your customer will be on the product pages before they realise, this means you have their interest and they find your store attractive, with any luck they will make a purchase.

Some pointers for a successful site

  • Unique layout incorporating good style and use of colours, stick to the 3 colour rule
  • Interesting content, short, concise will keep interest, not long boring dribble
  • Feature rich, can take many forms lightbox effects, discount coupons,  etc…
  • Your product pages need to be easy to use, understand, and display your products best features, let your customers know they NEED your product.
  • Don’t use gimmicks, like flash carousel its crap and looks cheesy.
  • Design your site with your customer in mind, not for yourself.
  • Make the design compatible with the products you sell.

It’s a very tough market out there and a home made site unless very well done will not get you a return on investment.

My investments,

I know that the above is true, when you hire me you get a professional with professional tools, I invest heavily in software especially image creation and manipulation tools, and have a collection of not just one but most of the best software you can buy.
