Shelter Institute is several companies under one roof. We teach people how to design and build their own homes, we custom design and build timber frame structures, we sell all of the woodworking tools and components that go into the construction of a home and we have a real estate office in-house. We attract a wide range of customers from all over the world and from varying walks of life. Founded in 1974 our mission is to demystify the house construction process and make it more accessible to the average person. We’ve become a resource center for people because of our years in business and our in-house expertise.
